Paris Part 2 + Mon Hotel Review

So it was mine and Jennifer’s last night in Paris, so far Paris had been perfect, like the weather had been perfect for the past few days until it started to rain really badly in the night. Other than that Paris was giving me everything I needed. Before we checked into a new hotel we decided to check out Champs-Élysées, which was basically were the biggest Louis Vuitton in the world was. You know the one where Mariah Carey filmed her music video. The LV store was gorgeous I’ve literally never ever seen a line to get into Louis Vuitton ever, it was huge but I don’t think I would have the patience to wait 1 hour to get into store.

Mon Hotel Review
Finally we arrived at the chic boutique Mon Hotel. I couldn’t believe how close it is to everything its so central. Its located right next to the famous Arc de Triomphe which is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. When we arrived at Mon Hotel we were instantly greeted by reception who were so lovely, they sat us down and went to through the paper work to get us checked in properly.

Mon Hotel was just so stunning, the decoration and the whole ambiance was just very classy. Even the guests were super friendly, when we arrived a hotel guest outside asked me “If I needed any help carrying my bags in?” I was thinking no one would ever ask you that in London, unless they worked at the hotel. We then were shown to the lifts and taken up to our rooms, we were on the 4th floor and we each had our own room, which was nice. When I entered my room I couldn’t believe how big and luxurious it was. It has a huge bed that looked so soft and dreamy. The room also had its own cute little balcony which I could shout Jen if I needed her as she was only next door. The view from the balcony was insane, it felt very Parisan I could just imagine me on the balcony, having a super hot coffee in a cute fur coat LOL! Céline the hotel sales manager left me such a cute note with some delicious Mon Hotel biscuits. They were so nice I literally finished them in under 10 minutes ha! The hotel was so beautiful they also had free WIFI and a gym down stairs which we checked out but we were so drained to workout.

Miss KO Review
After settling in the room and unpacking we got ready to hit the town and got ready for the beautiful Asian fusion restaurant called Miss KO. Miss KO wasn’t far from our hotel at all, literally one stop on the subway, Miss KO reminded me a lot of Nobu it had this fun hip hop vibe. The crowd there was very trendy but what I liked that anyone and everyone was there. Different varieties of people, different ages so it gave the restaurant more character. The DJ in Miss KO was playing the best tunes ever! From old school R&B to the hottest Hip Hop.

The only thing that I didn’t like that was when we were sat down, the tables were so close to another couple that we could literally hear their conversation. But Miss KO was fantastic, we ordered a sushi platter to share with some miso soup which literally made my taste buds do backflips.

We were going to hit up some clubs but realised that our flight was at 6am so we decided to go back to the hotel early but then we remembered we hadn’t visited the Eiffel Tower, so we got the subway there quickly and arrived to see the beautiful tower. I actually forgot how far of a walk it was from the station, my legs were actually killing me. There were so many tourists it was insane, it was like a Beyoncé concert just finished.

We then headed back to the hotel finally, I needed to pack and get my things straight before the flight. Plus I wanted to have a little nap in the king size bed in the hotel because it looked so damn soft. We got back to the hotel and looked around some more, I couldn’t believe that the hotel was so eccentric, their curtains were made out of white latex which I thought was cool and they had this really cool lamp which you will see in the picture below

After finally getting back to our rooms it was almost time to go, so we checked out around 4am to get to our airport on time. I just want to say a huge thank you to the Mon Hotel team. Jen and me had the most beautiful stay there and you’re staff were so friendly and brilliant. I will definitely be staying there again and recommending it to all my friends that visit Paris –x-

Onken Greek Style Yogurt Launch

So last week I attend the fabulous launch of the new Onken Greek Style yogurt, they had some delicious new fruity flavours which left you’re taste buds wanting more. I am such a yogurt fan, so when I heard Onken were launching more flavours I knew I had to attend. The event was located on Greek Street in Soho. So it was really central and easy to get to, which is always a bonus. When I walked in I couldn’t believe how beautiful the setting was! It was like I had been transported to a Greek garden in Athens, the trees looked sensational and there were these amazing body painted Greek gods standing there like statues displaying the yogurts which I thought was super cool.

Everyone really seemed to be enjoying the yogurt and the event was buzzing. The bar was making the most amazing cocktails to go with each flavour of the new Onken yogurt, which I thought went down really well. I remember trying the brandy with apple & cinnamon that was strong but tasted amazing LOL but it was paired beautifully with the apple and cinnamon yogurt that had to be my favourite.

When I walked into the next room there was a huge Greek god like 6ft. His name was Dairyus I made sure to get a picture with him LOL! If you search his hashtag you can see where he has been all over the UK.
The waiters were bringing out the most sensational canapés ever! There was this lamb one that literally kept calling me ever time it was bought out LOL!

I couldn’t get over the yogurt sculptures that had been mad to look like all the X-Factor judges I thought it was amazing! I just didn’t get how someone could recreate one of the X-Factor judges so perfectly with yogurt.

I had so much fun at the Onken event all the yogurt was too tasty for words. Thank you guys for the 3 Monkeys team for inviting me down! You guys literally have the best events ever!

Summer In Paris Pt One + Hotel Da Vinci Hotel Review

So recently I’ve been traveling so much, Traveling has literally been my aphrodisiac this summer. It’s been making me feel so happy and alive just seeing different parts of the world. Jennifer and me decided to visit Paris again this year. So we booked it and off we went. We got a super early flight from Luton!! I am talking 7,00am, guys never get an early flight ever! HOW IS ONE SUPPOSING TO DO AIRPORT CHIC? You can’t be in the airport with puffy eyes and chapped skin! That’s never cute.

Anyways we got on our flight safe and sound. I remember our last trip, for some foolish reason we decided to take the coach to Paris. I can’t even explain how painful the trip was. It literally felt like I was on the titanic. Anyways unlike the coach it never took 10 HOURS!!! It took only 55 minutes. We were up and down so fast, that I didn’t even get to listen to all of Gucci Mane’s new mix tape.

We arrive in the beautiful city of Paris, like always I wore the wrong airport outfit. I had on my Adidas tracksuit with my fedora hat. I looked like I was in Run DMC! Our lovely driver from Blacklane cars was arrived already waiting for us to drop us to our first destination. The driver was amazing and so helpful and sweet. Did I mention the car was a brand new luxurious black Mercedes, I felt like Naomi Campbell strutting to my car.

We finally arrived at our hotel the beautiful Hotel Da Vinci, which was located in the most beautiful part of central Paris. Hotel Da Vinci looks so stunning from the outside, it really has this vintage boutique feel about it. We pressed the button to open the door and made our way to reception. As soon as we walked in the hotel manager shouted “ThePlasticBoy” I couldn’t stop smiling like “OMG” how sweet is that, she obviously remembered my face from my blog and the emails we had exchanged previously before my visit.  Our welcome was one of the warmest welcomes I had ever received, We were seen to straight away by the lovely receptionist and told everything we needed to know about the hotel and when we could use their beautiful spa. The receptionist also told us the best places to eat and shop near our hotel, which was lovely.

We then made our way to our room, which was on the 4th floor, the hotel made sure our luggage was delivered to us after we settled in our rooms. The room was stunning it was just the right size for Jen and me.  Our twin beds looked so bouncy and soft and the bathroom looked so crisp and luxurious. The hotel even got us a bottle of Prosecco as a welcome gift, which made my day!  I just couldn’t believe how beautiful the hotel was and the service we had already received. It was definitely 10/10 from us already. Because Hotel Da Vinci is a boutique hotel each guest had to book their time for the spa/pool which was an hour, we decided to book ours for 8pm as we wanted to do some shopping and come back before we went out in the night.

We explored Paris but before we went to any store we had to visit Colette. I tried to go before the last time we were in Paris but it was closed sadly. So I was super over the moon it was open the day we decided to go. Colette reminds me of Dover Street Market in London except its way easier to get around and the staff are way more helpful (No Shade) I literally fell In love with everything in store, It has everything you can think of from I-watches to Magazines to Fendi & much more. Colette even has a beauty section where you can find such brands like Balmain hair care and Topshop makeup.

We then popped into Mac and I spent like 60 euros on lipsticks LOL! But they were worth it obviously because they were from the new matte collection. Then we headed to Monki and An Other Stories. I didn’t see anything that cute though but I did get a cute oversized white shirt in Monki, which was perfection.

Me and Jen then decided to head back to the hotel to indulge in our spa session for the evening before we went out. The spa had to be my favourite part of the hotel. It was just so relaxing, It was located on the bottom floor of the hotel and we had the pool all to ourselves which was amazing. The pool had different jets, which we could control if we wanted to be massaged under water. It was so much fun but we only had 1 hour down their which went by so quickly.

I felt that breakfast at Hotel Da Vinci was so lovely, we sat down with all the other hotel guest but I didn’t feel like we were to close to anybody. It’s a very intimate breakfast but there’s a lot of space. The hotel provided fresh pastries with a selection of mouth watering bacon and eggs. I was impressed with the breakfast because I’m not usually a fan of Parisian breakfasts because their so simple but this one was perfect.

I just want to say a huge thank you to the team at Hotel Da Vinci, you made our stay beautiful and relaxed. I will defiantly be staying at you’re hotel again in the near future. Check them out here guys!!!

Plus before I left I had to try out the bath! It was gorgeous!!! Not sure why I took a bath 30 minutes before checkout but it was totally worth it!! P.S Thanks Jen for taking the sexual photos of me HA!!!
